Designing a fine art tote through pure imagination is our process at Thimble and Treasures. In my mixed -media bags, I deliberately embrace imperfect designs -allowing asymmetrical lines, raw edges, and unexpected material pairings to give each piece its own unique soul. This same reverence for character guides my leather-burning practice, where heat to etch organic, permanent designs onto everyday items like table runners and keyrings-bag charms. To me, a burnt line or an unrefined edge isn't a mistake, it is a signature of life.

    This silhouette bag is rich in texture and expressive construction come together in this handcrafted tote/gift bag, blending organic materials with architectural finishes and intricate fiber art techniques.

    The body of natural dark cork that is embedded with flickers of metallic gold and reflective accents, with squared corner is moisture-resistant durability.

    The trim is smooth chrome-tanned leather in a creamy tone framing the upper border and key stress points, offering structured reinforcements and a refined contrast against the dark cork.

    The handles is a crystal- clear resin handles with a smooth, glass-like finish in a d ring style, providing an eye-catching, modern top fixture with a comfortable hand-feel.

    Artisan stitching is intricate, expressive topstitching sweeping across the exterior panels in multi- directional patterns-to give the bag an artistic, tactile surface dimension.

    Opening the bag reveals a soft, vintage-inspired interior designed with both romantic charm and practical organization in mind. Premium 100 % natural cotton printed with a gentle, faded Paris sketch- like illustrations of iconic Parisian landmark-the Eiffel Tower, and air ballons. The removal able bag support is wrapped in the same natural 100% cotton fabric. The leather strap creates a key fob is anchored inside the top seam.

    Mixed color {silver and gold}, and crystal metal rivets reinforce the stress points adding a polished, multi-tone metallic details ensures the bag holds up to daily use.

    Cleaning a multi-material bag requires a targeted approach so you don't over-saturate the leather or damage the cork finish while getting the cotton lining fresh.

    Cork panel: Mix a few drops of mild liquid dish soap or baby shampoo into warm water. Dip a soft microfiber cloth wring it out until it is barely damp and gently wipe down the cork in light circular motion. wipe away any soap residue with a clean, damp cloth.

    Natural Chrome-Tanned Leather Trim. Dampen a separate microfiber cloth with plain lukewarm water and gently wipe off dust or oil. For stubborn grime, use a gentle, water-based leather cleaner formulated for smooth leather. A void saturating the leather or getting heavy soap onto the raw edges.

    Air Dry Naturally: Never submerge the bag in water or wash it in a washing machine. Keep the bag stuffed with dry towels or tissue paper while it air-dries at room temperature, well away from heat vents or direct sunlight.

    I draw deep inspiration from the 1930s and 1940s, meticulously channeling the classic silhouettes and detailed applique techniques used during that era to create a timeless, heirloom piece.

    Each bag is thoughtfully constructed from premium 100% cotton, high-grade cork fabric, and naturally treated, durable leathers.
